How Not To Get Any Writing Done

Dean Swift’s take on the problem is from On Poetry: A Rhapsody, 1733:

Blot out, correct, insert, refine, Enlarge, diminish, interline; Be mindful, when invention fails, To scratch your head, and bite your nails.

Mine is from a bout of procrastination this afternoon, March 30, 2016:

Re-type, change font, refine, insert, Enlarge, back up, and then revert; Be mindful, when invention’s clogged: Email’s waiting. And the blog.

Oh dear. Busted.
